ADVISOR: Towards Holistic Model-Based e-Learning Environments Based On Meta-Modelling Concepts

This paper provides a conceptual, methodological and application overview of the ADVISOR approach to create model based e-Learning environments using meta-modelling concepts. The paper provides an overview of the current state of the art in specific areas of the e-Learning domain and introduces added value provided by the ADVISOR approach. Reference implementation of the e-Learning environment using the ADVISOR approach is presented within eduBITE project and future development of the approach carried out in the area of semantic technologies is presented using the MATURE EC research project as application scenario.
